Threat from Kim Jong-un’s brother

The wind of peace that has blown between South Korea and North Korea recently has been blown by a statement from Pyongyang. Kim Yo Jong, who is the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and also plays critical roles as his right-hand man, made a statement.
Speaking after the re-opening of communication channels between South Korea and North Korea last week, Kim Yo Jong said, “If South Korea participates in pre-planned military exercises with the United States, this will damage the two countries’ relations and damage the process of re-establishing relations between the two countries.”
Kim Yo Jong said, “The opening of communication channels has no purpose other than to establish a physical connection. It is inconsiderate to think that a summit will be held soon,” he said.
In a statement released by KCNA, Kim Yo Jong said, “Our government and military are closely monitoring South Korea’s decision on whether to conduct aggressive war exercises. “Hope or despair, we are not responsible for it,” he said.
Technically, it is still at war after the tensions between 1950-53. Communication channels between the two countries were reopened on Tuesday.
